Elevating Fine Dining with Modern Flair
Chef Jon Bernard and Lindsay Bernard are the heart behind Bernard’s Gastropub & Eatery, an approachable fine-dining experience crafted in the heart of Roanoke, Virginia.
Jon is a 2007 graduate of Johnson & Wales University’s culinary program. After meeting Lindsay, whose passion for hospitality and guest experience matches his love of the kitchen, the two married and put down roots in Southwest Virginia.
Together, they saw an opportunity in downtown Roanoke: a place where neighbors could enjoy elevated food and thoughtful service without the intimidating atmosphere. With more than 30 years of combined restaurant experience, Jon and Lindsay set out to create a restaurant that feels welcoming, warm, and intentionally curated.
In 2018, they opened Bernard’s Gastropub & Eatery as a space to share their passion for cuisine, community, and unforgettable meals, one table at a time.
